Dear All, Kindly be informed that Nepal Swimming Association is hosting the 24th Open and Age Group Competition on May 5th and 6th, 2022 (Baishak 22nd and 23rd 2079) at Satdobato Swimming Complex (Long Course), Lalitpur. Here are the General Rules to be Followed: 1. Athletes must register their Events to participate via Online at swimnepal.com 2. All Existing and New Athletes are requested to Update their Profile. 3. Competition Entry Fee shall be NPR 200 (Rupees Two Hundred Only). 4. Deadline for Events Registrations is 3rd May, 2022 evening 5 P.M. (Baishak 20th, 2079). 5. Championship Format: Long Course, Morning Heats and Evening Finals (Direct Final in the Morning as per Referee Decision). 6. Events are as following: (As per Table) 7. 5 Minutes Break if there is a continuous event for any of the participating athletes. 8. Protest if any should be made within 30 minutes from the finish of the concerned event with a deposit of Rs. 5000. The deposit shall be refunded if the protest is honored. 9. Our Athlete Mr. Alexander Gadegaard Shah and Ms. Gaurika Singh along with Coach Shankar Karki has completed their Pre-Training Camp and Tokushima. Nepal Swimming Team shall now fly to Tokyo from Tokushima and arrive at Tokyo Olympic Village. Both the athletes are set to compete in their event i.e. 100 Meter Freestyle. Mr. Shah shall compete on 27 July, 2021 (Session 7-Heats-Evening) while Ms. Singh shall compete on July 28, 2021 (Session 9-Heats-Evening).

The newly installed gym of Nepal Swimming Association was inaugurated by Nepal by Mr. Ramesh Silwal, Member Secretary of Nepal Sports Council. The gym had been granted by FINA under FINA Olympic Aquatic Support Program, 2020. The includes the first ever VASA Swim Ergometer in Nepal. This shall be beneficial for the athletes to enhance their swimming skills in outside the water. We can see our Chief Guest Mr. Ramesh Silwal and other Special Guests MR. Nepali athletes who achieved a host of feats during the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) held in Kathmandu and Pokhara in 2019 were felicitated by Nepal National and International Players Association with NNIPA Sports Awards amid a ceremony in Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur on Saturday.
